GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

    Our New Environmental and Sustainability Policy is Live!

    We kick-started our new Environmental and Sustainability Policy at Longford Park this week and we can now track real-time data about the amount of energy we’re saving through our school solar panels.

    The children can use our Solar Performance Dashboard to evidence that the school is generating a significant amount of solar energy each week- a large portion of which is being exported to the National Grid. Our Pupil Leadership Team will be able to feed back information about our school’s contribution to environmental sustainability to their classes to keep everyone informed and included.

    A great start to the school year - and it also ties in really nicely with this term’s Big Question: How does data help us understand the world around us?’
