GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

30 hour codes for January 2024

If your child is due to start at our Nursery from January 2024 and you think you are eligible for 30 hours of nursery funding, please apply for your code now. You MUST apply and receive your code before 31st December 2023 for the code to be valid for a January start.

It is definitely worth checking your eligibility here.

You should apply for your code even if you don’t think at this stage you want to use it. Things might change and the code is only valid from the term after you apply.

For example:

·         Apply for your code and receive it by 31st December 2023 - use it from 1st January 2024 onwards

·         Apply for your code after 31st December 2023 – use it from 1st April 2024 onwards

Welcome to our Nursery

LP WelcomeStarting in our Nursery is the beginning of an exciting journey through Longford Park Primary School. Our Nursery opened, following an increasing demand from existing parents and our local community and offers funded places to children from the age of 2 years old.

We are very fortunate to have two nursery classrooms with staff that are highly committed to their roles.  We believe nursery years are such a special and important time in our lives and we hope to create some very special memories during the time your child spends with us.

We believe the success of your child’s education is very much a partnership between home, school and the community – each child comes to nursery with their own experiences and knowledge, and it is our aim to build on this together with yourselves to create a real love of learning which will last with your child forever.

Our Nursery is open term time, and the Nursery start and finish times support the school day as many of our parents have siblings in both nursery and the main school.

Please see our Fees, Funding and Sessions page for full details on funding available.

Our Nursery is a key part of our school and is overseen by our Early Years Lead, SarahLP Mag Obina. Mrs Clark is our Nursery Leader and looks after the nursery team. Full details of the staff team are here.

We provide a safe and secure setting in which children have access to a vibrant and stimulating indoor and outdoor area. We encourage children to develop their skills and independence through play-based learning.

There are regular Nursery open mornings to show new parents around the school and Nursery, but if there isn’t an open morning coming up our school office team can still arrange a convenient date for you to pop in and see us. We encourage all new parents to come and visit our Nursery and meet our staff team. Even if your child isn’t old enough to start yet you can still register your interest and we will contact you again nearer the time they are due to start. We will send you a link to our online application form which you will need to complete to apply for a place.

We look forward to meeting you!
