GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Happy birthday Your Royal Highness

Our new term kicks off with a new STEAM topic of Celebrations. The children were amazed to discover that the Queen Celebrates two birthdays a year, her actual birthday and her official one! The official one is always in June and this year it’s 12th June, so our Nightingale and Franklin Classes (Reception) made her a card and walked up to the post box to post it to her – Happy birthday your Majesty!

In other news, Brunel Class (Year 3) decided to explore different foods as a way of looking at celebrations around the world. There were some delicious treats brought in by parents from India and China and the smells in the corridor were truly mouth watering!
