Meet the team
We are very fortunate to now have two nursery classrooms with staff that are highly committed to their roles. We believe nursery years are such a special and important time in our lives and we hope to create some very special memories during the time your child spends with us. We believe the success of your child’s education is very much a partnership between home, school and the community – each child comes to nursery with their own experiences and knowledge, and it is our aim to build on this together with yourselves to create a real love of learning which will last with your child forever.
I am proud to lead the nursery team here at Longford Park bringing a wealth of experience having worked in ‘Early Years’ for over 30 years as well as raising 4 children of my own who are now all adults themselves. I specialised in ‘Early Childhood studies’ at university and I am passionate about inspiring children, nurturing their curiosity and learning with fun and enjoyable learning opportunities. I enjoy supporting children with developing their communication skills and find this especially rewarding. I love getting to know each of the children in my care - learning about their interests and fascinations and I am committed to helping each child to become an independent, confident and caring and responsible learner. Outside of Longford park, I look forward to get-togethers with family and friends and I enjoy walks in the countryside with my dog. I also enjoy travelling and visiting new places.
I am our Nursery lead in Frankin Class with our younger nursery children and I have been part of the Longford Park nursery team for the past two years. I have over 15 years of experience working in ‘early years’. My passion is to give the children in my care the best start in life. I try to make everyday learning fun and exciting with new opportunities so they can become independent learners. I enjoy music and movement play with the children. I am mum to two children and I enjoy spending time with my family and walking in the countryside with our little dachshund ‘Buddy’.
I have been working as part of the Longford Park nursery team for the past two years. Prior to this, I have worked with children for over 12 years in an international pre-school, nurseries and as a nanny. I love working with children, it is such a rewarding job and every day is different and unique. I love watching each child grow and develop and knowing I have been part of their learning journey is such a lovely feeling. I particularly enjoy messy play and cooking activities, but also love those quieter moments sharing books and hearing about news from home with the children too. I have a passion for supporting children with SEND and also work part time for an Autism Charity helping families in the local area. I am also a mum to my son and my spare time is spent enjoying days out and weekends away together. I also enjoy baking and spending time with friends and family.
I have been working at Longford Park for the past 2 years in the reception class and I am excited to be joining the nursery team this year. I have over 15 years' experience of working with young children, and I am also a mum to 2 boys. My passion lies in supporting emotional health and well-being and I have a growing interest in SEN. I recognise the vital role I play in nurturing children’s growth and development, and the wonderful rewards that brings. I love to play, read, get messy and have fun!
Outside of Longford Park, I enjoy spending time with my family, long walks and eating out with friends.
I have recently joined the nursery team at Longford Park and have always wanted to work with children. I love their energy, honesty and their total love of everything fun and exciting. I enjoy sharing new experiences with the children and believe that as long as children are given support, encouragement and love they will always succeed. Outside of the setting, I am a mum to three children and therefore I know how important it is to feel secure about leaving your children in a happy, safe, environment. In my free time, you’ll most probably find me horsing around at the stables with my four-legged friend, Diva!

Before your child starts at our Nursery we will come and visit you at home. This helps us get to know your child in the comfort of their own home and we will ask you to complete an "All About Me" form to support this.
Once your child starts with us, they will be allocated a member of staff who will be their ‘Key Person’. All our Nursery staff will get to know your child well, but the Key Person’s role is to help your child settle and be someone they can relate to and rely on when they are with us. The Key Person will identify how your child learns through their play and be responsible for ensuring that the care your little one receives meets their individual needs. The Key Person will be your first point of contact for any questions you might have.
We will inform you of your child’s Key Person once they have been at Nursery for a few weeks. This gives us the opportunity to get to know your child and identify who the most appropriate member of staff is for your child. This is based on the relationship that your child has with the different team members and any additional needs or interests.
At Longford Park Nursery we use an online system called Tapestry to make regular observations of your child - we write down what they say and do and take lots of photos to keep you updated with how they are getting on.
We have an open-door policy, so please come in and speak to us if you have questions or need some more information.
