Very hungry caterpillars

Froebel Class (nursery) were very excited to receive their very own caterpillars this week! The children have been observing them very closely – excitedly talking about the changes they have noticed in them in just a few days already.  The children have been continuing to learn about different minibeasts but with a focus on patterns - the children were amazed to learn there is even a ‘rainbow caterpillar’ and we have been making bee and ladybird crafts as we explored how some insects have spots or stripes and some insects have symmetrical patterns.
