Butterfly Farm Visit

Wednesday 1st May saw our youngest class go on a visit to see some butterflies! A coach of children, parent volunteer helpers and staff set off for Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm. For some, not only was it their first school trip, it was also their first time on a coach, so a big adventure for them all.

On arrival, the group had a tour of the centre, got to see lots of butterflies up close and experts to explain the lifecycle. Some 'lucky' visitors had butterflies land on them, which caused lots of excitement!

There were lots of other creatures at the farm and some of the braver children (and adults) got to hold giant millipedes, cockroaches as well as butterflies!

The trip was a great success and beautifully ties in with the caterpillars we have in Nursery which are doubling in size almost daily. They will soon form a chrysalis and then emerge as beautiful this space!
