Hatchimals have hatched!

Our Reception class have been thinking about springtime animals and learning the names for the baby animals that are born at this time of year. We've learnt how birds prepare for and look after their eggs and chicks and then we watched a time-lapse video of eggs hatching. We have got lots more eggs-citing activities coming up, but it seemed appropriate to share some Hatchimals with the children that have been provided to the school as an education pack.

Needless to say that the children were delighted! There were all different sorts, colours and animals ranging from tiny horses with glittery wings, to cute tigers! The children have been playing with them, looking after them, giving them names and even putting them to bed in the dolls house!

We wonder what these creatures will get up to at the weekend?
