World Book Day 2018

Snow did eventually win, but the morning saw the children all really enjoy coming to school dressed as their favourite characters. We had so many! We had a Mr Bump, Peter Rabbit, Little Red Riding hood to name just three. Teachers and support staff also got into the spirit, with not one but three Cats in Hats, a Unicorn and a Giraffe!

World Book Day is all about the celebration of books and reading across the globe! The children were all given a book token, which can be redeemed at bookshops against the featured books, which will buy the book outright, or against any other book you get £1 off.

Hedgehogs had a Dr Seuss theme, which included the preparation and eating (although not much eating went on) of green eggs and ham! Mrs Williams in the office was brave enough to try and reported that it didn’t taste any different, but it did look really yukky!

Badgers have continued their theme of pre-historic humans with the focus on Julia Donaldson’s book ‘Cave Baby’. Will Cave Baby be thrown to the big brown bear…?

PS More photos to follow from Badger Class soon!
